The Story So Far...
MarkAnthony a Singer, Songwriter, Producer & musician based in Devon Uk has been involved with many international releases on major and indie labels featured on world wide TV shows, radio and brands. Labels include: Sony, BMG, EMI, Universal, Ministry Of Sound, Defected, Virgin, HedKandi and many more. TV and radio plays include: Radio 1, Radio 2, The Outlaws, Ten Years Younger, Coronation Street, Si Fi Channel, O2 arena, Fox Sports and many more.
Successful collaborations include "Changes" Chris Lake ft Laura V which became an international hit record topping many dance charts, no 27 UK National Charts and US billboard charts as well as top ten in Europe. Massive support from some of the worlds top DJ's, not only A-Listed but most played song on Radio 1 for four consecutive weeks and many International TV synch's.
Changes followed on from the success of "Something On Your Mind" the collaboration with MYNC Project featuring long time writing partner in rhyme Abigail Bailey on Apollo/Universal. This track also became a club anthem and was heavily influenced by Stevie Nix's "Edge Of Seventeen" it was featured on Rhianna & Calvin Harris's world tour performance at O2 London and along with changes featured on BBC Radio 1 One big weekend live performances in Ibiza & Dundee. Both releases were championed by the DJ and Legend Pete Tong as well as many recognised international DJ’s.
From humble beginnings it's been a long hard road full of twists, turns and more than a few dead ends! Luckily tenacity is one of MarkAnthony's good traits and the journey keeps going. A self taught Vocalist, Writer, Producer and Multi-instrumental musician collaborating on major label hit records but is just as happy singing in a local bar those feet are placed firmly on the ground & it's all about the music.
Many years of live performances and recording studio sessions working with countless international musicians, producers, vocalists and record labels always adding that unique MarkAnthony influence that has become a bit of a trade-mark. A pure passion for music and for the craft of songwriting from a lifetime dedicated to instinctive and organic creativity in the pursuit of great songs and performances.
As a solo recording artist and vocalist you can hear more retro, classic blues rock and soul influences. Live performances can be a unique, eclectic mix of Blues, Rock & Soul and reworked Dance & Pop classics all tied in to create a memorable & entertaining show which stands out from the regular, standard set list. A combination of acoustic/electric guitars as well as looping and carefully mixed backing tracks help create a full, professional sound.
As well as covers from popular artists and bands you can expect a few original tracks. Also following on from MarkAnthonys collaboration on the successful Un-Clubbed album project you will hear acoustic and rock style versions of classic dance tracks stripped back.
